You have spent many years climbing that ladder and performing in roles that you once only dreamed of.
But now you are there, there's pressure to stay there. Pressure from yourself mostly, but also to maintain that life you have created for yourself and your loved ones.
The roles have gotten more senior, and with that your self doubt has started to creep up, the questioning of how you are managing to wing it rears it's head more frequently, and the self-berating of how you're no longer holding it all together is unfortunately very real.
The fun and care free relationship, the present parenting, the attentive daughter/son to ageing parents, the mindful Pilates classes, the healthy homemade dinners... those things you remember as distant memories.
Work has taken over because you are trying to keep up, overworking to prove your worth, not just to your boss or shareholders, but to yourself. You have lost trust in yourself that you know the answers, and you are scrambling, tying yourself up in mental knots and feeling quite frankly, knackered most of the time.
You want the senior role, of course you do, you are ambitious and there's still so much you want to achieve. But you need to get the belief system under control so you can shift your energy from one of stress and overwhelm and performing through professional anxiety, to one of flow, focus and joyful impact.
You have what it takes to be successful, but it needs to come from the inside out.
My mission is to empower senior professionals to achieve greater success and mental freedom in both life and leadership.
